After over 6 months of no blog posts, I am finally ready to return to Tumblr and let everybody know what has been going on in my life. If we’re connected on my favorite social sites; Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN, you haven’t missed too much. I created profiles on Instagram (obsessed) and Pinterest (never use it). I have come to understand the complicated world of email marketing far more than I would have ever imagined. I started diving heavily into Wordpress and the study of Inbound Marketing practices, Instead of just partnering with professionals, I have become a lot more familiar with online marketing skillsets like SEO and PPC management and I’m learning more every day. I have fallen back in love with writing as well as acknowledged the fact that content is king, so even if I didn’t love it, I still needed to start doing it. I have made it a point to master graphic and web design in 2013 and I have started taking small steps into the photography and video editing arena. I threw an event called #ChicagoCares that raised over $5,000.00 for stateside victims of Hurricane Sandy and recently started a personal 30 day self-improvement project called The Chibernation that I can’t wait to share with all of you. I left my full time job as the Director of Marketing at Kumbuya and I’ve thrown myself completely into my own business, Mahlmann Media. My old roommates from high school moved out, I graduated into the biggest bedroom/bathroom combo I have ever had and I now have two beautiful, down-to-earth, but super wild female roommates. I have finally opened the door to the possibility of slowing down and finding someone to share the journey with and I am about to launch my companies new website with a marketing push to compliment it! The new site launches on Monday, but it will be up this weekend as I test and edit so feel free to take a peek and let me know what you think! That’s all for now, but expect more very soon! :)
